Find Me (Justice)

All ye sinners

Find Me (Justice)

How do you fight injustice?

Do you rage with cold, dark steel –

a vigilante act in the dark?

No cape

No mask

No fear.

Just the ebb and flow

of a heartbeat heard,

a soft thump

of the space between,

a mere breath away from justice.

Fighting,

fighting;

raging

against the tide

of veracity and immorality.

Caught somewhere

in between their moving bodies;

being jostled

to and fro by their hysterical words –

a desperate plea for sanity

and an anxious longing for righteousness

no matter

how costly.

How do you find Justice?

Do you wait for her sister, Karma

who unlike Justice

sees all

but must be deaf

to ignore pleas for swiftness?

Silent

Patient

Waiting

for her to dole her portions-

a three-fold ration

to the condemned.

Blessings

and curses

trail her fingertips,

blood staining the cuff

of her garb –

leftovers from

a payment in full.

Where do you find

this blind, sweet soul

who claims residence

in the courthouse

but is ever lacking in presence?

What will you do

when you find her?

For,

It’ll never be enough.

Never.

Is it truly justice that you seek?

Or is it that fare

that is best served cold?
